A headline like this -
"10X your audience in 4 short weeks to have leads pouring in using my 4-step method today!"
is much more appealing than -
"10x your business over four years by using consistency, determination and buckets of grit, and you will have a sustainable business"
l know which headline would grab my attention and yours too !
And this is where the false timeline of building a business comes from. We get sold it takes four weeks when really it's four weeks to get going and then MULTIPLE 4 weeks on repeat to keep getting clicks, clients and cash in the door.
That is why your conversion (i.e. sales) copy is so important in your business for two reasons -
1. It doesn't mislead people, yet it is catchy enough to get people to stop with all the online chatter we are fed and keep reading.
2. Your copy stands the test of time. Unlike social media and graphics that disappear down the feed or age, words that sell stay on the page and speak to your audience for years to come.
